Bruxelles and Brugge
From October 16-18th, young Europeans will help to shape the future direction of Europe! 52 bright, ambitious young European professionals from 15 countries (both EU and non-EU) are coming together to share their views on the future of Europe.
Discussions with EU-officials, NGO-representatives and leading experts will prepare the ground for the “European Youth Council”, a summarizing workshop at the College of Europe in Bruges on October 17th. Here, the young Europeans will specifically tackle the issues on the Council’s agenda: innovation and digital agenda, Eastern neighbourhood and the soaring issue of Youth Unemployment.
The aim is to define measures and implementations the Council needs to decide on during the upcoming October meeting. On Friday morning, the group willhand over a manifesto at the European Council to high-level representatives of the Cabinet of Herman Van Rompuy.
The European Youth Council is organized by ThinkYoung and is a contribution to FutureLab Europe, a project of European civil society initiative ‘European Alliance for Democratic Citizenship’ that fosters education for active democratic citizenship and shared ownership of Europe among young Europeans.
